Are Staffordshire Ironstone plates microwave-safe?
My great-aunt died late last year, and we have been cleaning out her old belongings. My mother found sets of dishes from Staffordshire Ironstone by Johnson Bros. - specifically, the "Coaching Scenes" set in blue. Now, I'm aware these are worth a bit of money, but we really do need new plates, and my mother wants to know if there's anyone who knows if these plates are microwave- and dishwasher-safe. COuld someone please help us?
I just did it I have some old ones in my cup board, they should be able to take some stress if you don't over heat them no problem with the dish washer,
