How to re-attach a ceramic soap dish?
The ceramic soap dish popped off the wall in my tub. It did not break and the wall seems to be very clean. It is surrounded by standard square bath tiles. What should I use to re-attach this to the wall? Is there something special I should use to clean both surfaces first? I'm asuming once it is attached and dry I should then caulk around the edges. I've never done any projects like this before so any help would be appreciated.
It was likely held in place with ceramic tile mastic. Get a small container of that or some liquid nails. Use duct tape to keep the dish secured to the wall until the adhesive cures. Then apply a bathtub caulk around the edge and smooth the bead. Let the caulk cure before using the tub again.
