Is corn a vegetable or a carbohydrate?
I think corn is a vegetable but I'm not sure because it is also eaten as a carbohydrate like corn bread, corn meal, etc. Corn can be made into so many things... but even before like in China ppl who could not afford to eat white rice ate corn and that was their carbohydrate. And corn is basically a sugar and sugar is a carb... but i still think it is a vegetable.
what do u think?
Corn is a vegetable that is high in carbs. When I cook, I try to plan meals with a protein, a few vegetables, and a healthy carb. If I'm using fresh corn on the cob, or corn niblets, or baby corn, I count it towards the vegetable total for the meal. If I'm using corn flour or corn meal in something, like tortillas or corn bread, then I count it as the carb for the meal.
