Can anyone help me identify a small clear and purple jellyfish?
I have just returned from Malta and whilst swimming in the water at the Blue Lagoon, I saw lots and lots of clear jellyfish with purple running inside them. I have been looking on the internet for some information about the type of jellyfish these are but no luck. Can anyone help me? I know it is a bit vague but any suggestions would be great!
Were they completely submerged? Or at the surface, with a part that stuck up above the surface? If the latter, then most likely Vellela, commonly called "By the Wind Sailor".
