Coalport figurine called "First Dance"?
Hi There, I was wondering if anyone can shed any light on a Coalport figurine called "First Dance"? I inherited this from my grandmother and have been trying to find out some information about it but am drawing complete blanks. Cannot find anything on the Internet - not even a picture!! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kindest regards
As already mentioned, this is part of the Ladies of Fashion series. It was designed by John Bromley and issued between 1984 and 1990. It should be approx 8" tall and have a pink dress. The 2009 Charlton Standard Catalog (3rd ed) has a valuation of $175. It was listed in a 1997 catalog with value of $285, so the $175 price reflects the economic downturn and associated reduction in values. Book values are a good guide for insurance purposes but are often higher than actual secondary market prices.
